Key concepts for city management, which are closely related to sustainable development, are analyzed and compared. The methodology of sustainable urban management is discussed. It is argued that the future management and development of cities should now be based on the Concept of Sustainable Cities.

Main stresses are made on the problems which exist in teaching Chinese to Armenian-speaking students, their role and impact. Among problems we mention the lack of localized methodological textbooks. The article also discusses peculiarities to which a teacher should pay attention while teaching Chinese to Armenian-speaking students to meet modern challenges.

The types of motivation in learning are considered. The results of a survey on the topic “Why does a physician need to know Russian?”, conducted among students of the Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi are presented, analyzed and summarized. Some directions, ways and methods of strengthening motivation in teaching RFL to future medical workers are proposed.

Mentoring in the RFL training system is a kind of individual educational and educational work with young Russian methodologists starting their teaching activities. Based on the existing foreign experience, highlighting all its positive aspects, we can create our own models that meet the conditions of RFL training in the Republic of Armenia.

ItemСОТРУДНИЧЕСТВО МЕТОДИСТОВ С РОДИТЕЛЯМИ-ТЬЮТОРАМИ В РАКУРСЕ ПОСТРОЕНИЯ ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНОГО ПРОСТРАНСТВА НОВОГО ТИПА(Lingva, 2023) Eghiazaryan Gayane ; Muradyan ChristinaAs a result of the analysis of the questionnaires and tests related to the cooperation of parents-tutors and methodologists, we came to the conclusion that currently in our republic parents are not only the supporters of mother tongue learning while doing their children's homework, but they also often initiate bilingual (Armenian-English, Armenian-Russian, sometimes Armenian-Chinese, etc.) process of creating an educational space, acting as a "home" tutor. However, methodologists, practical teachers, psychologists and tutors still do not have clearly formulated and scientifically based answers to many organizational and methodological questions of this problem and guidelines for parents. The article presents some methodological guidelines to make the introduction of tutoring and mentoring institutes in our country more effective.

The main method was the sociological survey, in which 187 female students aged 17-18 of V. Bryusov State University participated. An author's questionnaire was used for the purpose of research. The practical significance of the research lies in the strengthening of health, improvement of physical condition, acquisition of the culture of movements, increase of work ability of the students of the Pedagogical University.

The abstract written in English is often the only text helping foreign readers to understand the content of a paper. Writing abstracts is in fact very important for researchers, who have to present the results of their research in a foreign language. This paper aims to present some features of teaching writing abstracts in English. A number of methods and exercises aimed at developing abstract writing have been proposed. The proposed methodology will help to prepare and present abstracts at conferences or publish articles in internationally recognized scientific journals.

The purpose of professional vocabulary teaching is the development of skills and abilities to recognize word units and terms in speech situations or different types of texts. Without professional vocabulary, it is impossible to develop and improve students’ receptive (reading and listening) and productive (speaking and writing) abilities in the professional sphere. The introduction, consolidation and retention of professional vocabulary is a complex and comprehensive process. The idea that the effectiveness of assimilation of political vocabulary depends on the choice of methods and strategies for introducing vocabulary units in the learning process and the application of multi-tasks is clarified.

In the context of the modern concept of language teaching, the principles, features and learning outcomes of teaching Arabic as a second foreign language are presented. During teaching, due to the fact that Arabic is a language of different linguistic thinking, features characteristic of language levels are taken into account. Often comparing with familiar languages is a way of highlighting and fixing differences.

The aricle is about the study of this problem and highlights both the features of verbal valency in German and the peculiarities of its teaching methods and strategies. The right lesson planning strategy and the choice of appropriate methods are critical to understanding and fully mastering this topic. Our study was conducted among 3rd year students of the State University after V.Brusov. The methodology used and the tested exercises make it possible to understand the intricacies of teaching methods and techniques, lead to the easiest and most productive mastering of the topic, which in turn contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching methods and techniques, significantly improve understanding of the language, promote free self-expression, effective and competent free communication in German.

The article is devoted to methods of overcoming lexical interference through project-based learning, namely, through one of its variants which is vocabulary journal. The factors of necessity and effectiveness of the applied method, as well as the skills and competences acquired by students and the result of its application are considered. The article discusses the types of projects in the context of preventing lexical interference, ways of organizing and implementing such projects, as well as their assessment. The features and the necessity of using vocabulary journals to overcome lexical interference are presented.

The article analyses the current diversity of definitions on competency models, excerpted from the available literature, identifying the patterns of the application of these models in the labour market, and proposing to consider their use in higher education, too, in order to verify the achievements of learning outcomes and the validity of the granted qualification.

It also focuses on different perceptions and interpretation of the term. The paper highlights the application of modular instruction in higher education identifying the benefits and challenges of the modular instruction for students, faculty and administration.

In this case, particular importance is given to studying and taking into account the students’ needs, interests and demands. In the process of teaching political English it is advisable to use authentic language material, as their content is derived from the needs, interests and real life of the learners.

ItemԲՈՒԺԱԿԱՆ ՖԻԶԿՈՒԼՏՈՒՐԱՅԻ ԴԵՐԸ ԿԵՑՎԱԾՔԻ ՇԵՂՈՒՄՆԵՐԻ ԴԵՊՔՈՒՄ(Lingva, 2023) Darbinyan AnnaThe paper presents the prerequisites for correct posture, causes of postural abnormalities, the consequences resulting from them, as well as the means of treatment highlighted on the basis of the literature. The experiment was done among 60 students of the Brusov State University and it turned out that 74.1% have a deviation in posture: The set of exercises presented in the work is effective, it was applied in the rehabilitation center «Limf» in 50 patients and gave a positive result.

The article also discusses approaches to the interpretation of the constructs of education and upbringing. The analysis of various definitions explores the semantic meaning of those constructs, determining their application ratio and functional peculiarities. In addition, the article observes a few main problems in upbringing and offers solutions to them. The article further discusses issues related to enhancing media security during the application of digital technologies and to implementing upbringing measures. Finally, the priorities of upbringing have been discussed in the context of modern challenges.

In this article, an attempt is made to experimentally identify and outline the socio-psychological characteristics of Armenian teenagers with delinquent and addictive behavior, to develop practical proposals related to the prevention of delinquent and addictive behavior.

In this regard, the tourism sector is not an exception. Being one of the branches of the global economy, along with its development, it makes new demands on the field of education. Tourism and hospitality organizations document the need for highly qualified professionals with comprehensive knowledge and personal, professional skills in management, marketing, psychology, culture and a number of other disciplines. The main burden of the mission of forming specialists with required abilities and skills is on higher educational institutions. This article presents the development stages of tourism education, the trends in the development of educational programs of "Tourism" and "Hospitality" professions in different universities of the world.
