This article is devoted to the analysiss of the image of mythical women in the selected poems by Valery Brusov. Based on the examples of Ariadne and Aphrodite we attempt to show that the poet,
using mythical female figures, endows them with a new meaning (in his texts this is the essence of personification of passion), subdues them into his poetic perspective. and in this way contradicts the myphopoetic tradition.
