The article explores the use of digital tools and applications in teaching foreign languages. In today's world, digital tools are omnipresent and are therefore an essential part of our lives. Similarly, they should be an integral part of language teaching process. The article examines the new challenges that teachers face in this digital age and the advantages of digital applications, such as internal differentiation, stimulation, and motivation of students based on their individual needs. The article also addresses common misconceptions related to the use of digital tools. Furthermore, the characteristics of some well-known educational applications are analyzed and categorized based on their features.Tthe methodological reasons and suitability of using digital tools in language teaching are discussed.
