The aim of the present research is to reveal the peculiarities of “Nadsat” slang as anti-language created by Anthony Burgess in his dystopian novel “A Clockwork Orange” and the peculiarities of its translation into Armenian. Translation of “Nadsat” is a real challenge for any translator. The main problem translators face is to preserve the effect of “Nadsat” in the target language through adequate techniques of translation. The study is based on the analysis of the Armenian translation by Zaven Boyajyan. The study proves that in the Armenian translation of “CoreNadsat” the translator succeeded in keeping both semantic and stylistic peculiarities of the specific text created by Antony Burgess.
