dc.description.abstract Тwo poems by Valery Brusov «Amalthea» and «Circe» analized in the paper. The aim of interpretation is to prove that addressing mythical prophetesses and motives of the elements in both texts, the poet meant to express his viewpoint cocnerning the essence and function of poetry.
