Abstract
The implementation of the principle of an individual approach is one of the primary issues of improving the effectiveness of instruction in a comprehensive school. In modern general education schools a lesson-classroom system founded by J. A. Comenius, is being implemented, but at the same time, pedagogues offer new approaches to organize the instruction process, technologies and so on. However, it should be noted that even after applying all this in the lesson-classroom system, the problem of the principle of an individual approach has not yet been resolved. In the article, we have touched upon this problem, substantiating the impossibility of implementing the principle of an individual approach in the lesson-classroom system, considering the features of the main options for implementing this principle (not purposefully, partly and fully) and specifying the entity that implements the principle of an individual approach in each of them. As a result, we come to the conclusion that the problem of implementing the principle of an individual approach will be solved only by providing an option for its full implementation, where the entity of implementing the principle is the system. Consequently, the solution of this problem implies structural changes in the subject-teaching system.
