Such words are realia. This article explores the specifics of student learning difficulties and the modern teaching methods used to overcome them. A foreign language lesson is effective if it is based on an intercultural component. The study of information on geographical texts, fiction, historical reviews, customs and traditions of native speakers reveals the peculiarities of the national mentality, linguistic features of the given nation. Through them, learners develop the ability to read und understand native language literature, using information services correctly, reading the press, having dialogues and conversations.
