LE RÔLE DES EUPHÉMISMES DANS LE DISCOURS POLITIQUE D'EMMANUEL MACRON

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study euphemisms used in political discourse and their disclosure in the process of persuasion. The object of study of this article is the euphemisms found in the book of French President Emmanuel Macron "Revolution: This is our fight." The scientific significance of this study lies in the fact that for the first time we analyze the euphemisms collected in the mentioned book. The euphemisms that we have identified in this article tell us about Macron's argumentative techniques in his speech, providing us with information about his personality, his reasoning, his feelings as well as his desired actions on the audience.
