(Lingva, 2023) Arshakyan Anahit ; Ohanjanyan Elen
In the article the authors emphasize the fact that contemporary society needs active and initiative members who have cognitive and creative skills and are able to use the knowledge and skills they have acquired at educational institutions in practice. In this context, the article highlights the need for increasing the effectiveness of teaching, one of the conditions of which is the active involvement of learners into teaching and learning process. Active teaching is the interaction between teachers and learners, both parties being on an equal level. In this context, the use of interactive methods becomes significant (when learners interact with one another and can carry out communicative acts). It should be noted that listening is important, which, however, has not received much attention in the current textbooks and by the teachers. Therefore, the article touches upon that topic since teaching listening should be carried out regularly, taking into consideration a number of linguistic, psychological and methodological factors that influence the comprehension of the listening text first and then the other language activities.
