    The purpose of the article is to clarify the place and importance of aerobics in the physical education of female students. The main method was the sociological survey, in which 187 female students aged 17-18 of V. Bryusov State University participated. An author's questionnaire was used for the purpose of research. The practical significance of the research lies in the strengthening of health, improvement of physical condition, acquisition of the culture of movements, increase of work ability of the students of the Pedagogical University.
